They say everything is bigger in Texas, especially when it comes to football and tailgating. The Dallas-Fort Worth dining scene is big, too, and “Top Chef Masters” alum Tim Love is at the center of it, presiding over six restaurants that range from the fine dining Lonesome Dove Western Bistro to the barbecue-inspired Woodshed Smokehouse.
Love also hosts “Restaurant Startup” on CNBC, but between takes, he makes time for football and tailgating. “I am a football fan, a Texan and an American. Therefore I am a Cowboys fan, just like every other real American,” he says. A successful tailgate recipe, according to Love, is flavorful and easy to eat, like his grilled lamb lollipops.
